About EWS DG Admission

Directorate of Education (DoE) and delhi government is committed to ensure 25% reserve seats for EWS/DG category candidates admissions in Private Unaided Recognized Schools* in Delhi, under the section 12 of Right of Children to Free & Compulsory Education Act, 2009. The EWS stands for Economically Weaker Section and DG stands for Disadvantaged Group. The online admission for the session 2018-19 is going to be start from 22-01-2018 and the last date of submitting online application registration form is 21-02-2018

Eligibility

Parents who are seeking admission in EWS category should have annual income less than Rs. 1 Lakh. For this category, there is 25% reservation and people who are seeking admission shouldn’t pay the fees. The schools are about to disclose the number of seats vacant in this category in schools. In this category, the admission will start once admission in general category ends. In DG category candidates belongs to SC/ST, OBC (Non creamy), Orphan, disabled and Transgender should have related certificate.

Age Limit for Kids Admission

For Pre-School {Nursery} 03 years to 05 years as on 31st March 2018.
For Pre-Primary (KG) 04 years to 06 years as on 31st March 2018
For First Class – (I) 05 years to 07 years as on 31st March 2018.

Where to Apply?

Parents need to visit the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi website where they will find a link to enter all details. Government is all set to help parents who don’t know about the online process while setting up booth in different colonies.

Apply Online – EWS/DG Online Registration Application Form 2018-19

The reports suggest that the admission process in EWS category is online and centralized. It means parents should apply in centralized form and they will need to undergo a specific school after being selected in a draw of lots. Parents will be informed through SMS about the results.

Documents Needed

To apply for EWS category, parents need to produce EWS certificates and parents who are applying under DG category should produce medical certificate or caste certificate or documentary proof for transgender and orphan. The school will not ask for certificate for income from the parents under DG category.
